And why am I quiet? Well I have shingles....how boring...painful and boring!! Normal service shall be resumed................ A la prochaine mes belles xxxxxxxxxxxxx
As Bill Clinton was fond of saying, I feel your pain. I really do, though. Been there; done that. The only way through is taking good care of yourself. Rest alot. Lydocaine patches helped me tremendously, along with Lyrica, which is often used to help diabetic nerve pain. Avoid narcotics as much as possible. I learned firsthand how miserably they can impact your digestive (and elimination) system. Recovery takes time. When your doctor allows, get the shingles vaccine. And, preach it to your friends!
Oh Shirley, I stop by for the first time in a few weeks to see you have a terrible malaise! I witnessed my dad have this horrible thing so know how you must be feeling. I wish you a speedy recovery my dear. Take it easy, if you know how, and make sure you are well for the festivities to come. Thinking of you. Di xoxo
I've heard they cause terrible pain and just exhaustion. My grandfather, who has trekked through everything in his life without complaint will say that shingles were his most painful experience (he is 96 now!). I hope you are feeling better soon!
On a side note - I won a small barometer from you on eBay. It came so quickly through the mail to the States. I can't wait to open it for Christmas!
So sorry ... shingles are so painful! Will keep you in my thoughts and look forward to more of you great posts in the hopefully in the near future!
RépondreSupprimerReally sorry Shirley, you are quite right, it is boring and most dreadfully painful thinking of you xxxxx
