Haberdashery!! haberdashery!!!

I have just been glued to the television for first episode of the new period drama The Paradise................

Was I glued to the plot? Well...............sort of ! But, I confess I was glued to each scene looking for the 19th century Paris ribbons, trims and fripperies I supplied to their costume and set buyers last year!!

Now I have to watch it weekly looking at the sets and props!!

A la prochaine mes belles

  1. Look at you! What an incredible opportunity - my friends always suggest I create for props in film but I'm puzzled how one gets into that industry.

  2. Hi Shirley, I supplied them with some old 18th century prints so madly scanning the walls for them instead of following the plot too.
They filmed it locally in the North East of England which makes it all the more exciting.

  5. My friend, Karina Hesketh, also supplied some things - I wonder how they found you, and I also query why you don't get some kind of nod or acknowledgement in the credits. Any advertising would surely be welcome to both of you darlings.

And I've learned it was filmed in/around Lambton Castle (which was once a Safari Park - Lambton Lion Park! which I visited as a child) - The excitement! I did enjoy The Paradise, I must admit, Shirley - Glad you are too <3
