Vendredi darns............

Don`t you just adore old darns and repairs?.

I  sometimes have to buy a piece of old textile just for the repairs & patches as they are such amazing confections and definitely not imperfections!

This printed Provencale linen is late 1700s..................I wonder who sat by candlelight to produce this petite treasure?

Bonne weekend mes belles

  3. Shirley, chère Shirley!!!!!

Oh dearest, I SO LOVE YOUR WARES and your sweet blogs! I was smitten when I saw you featured on YONKS. Diane is a great blogging pal and I asked her immediately about you. THANK YOU for coming to visit my post and I just wanted to make sure that I did a post highlighting the gracious vendors out there who bring us such delightful recycled vintage wares and creations from their hands. Much better than Mall finds, for sure!!!!

Mille mercis and YOU ARE UP IN NORMANDY? What a dream. I teach French and have been to Provence and the Southwest in the Perigord....wow, where would I love to live in France? ANYWHERE!

    BISES! Anita

  5. To all those complaining browsers at my vintage fairs who can't see the beauty and skill of the darns in sheets, quilts and vintage clothes, I tell them that I charge more for darns (and I do). It's that or head-butt them.
